Institute of Physical Biology, University of South Bohemia

Institute of Physical Biology (IPB) is active in basic an applied research of natural systems. In collaboration with faculties it participates in education in study programs to which it is delegated by the university. It collaborates with industry in transfer of technology from academia to practice. IPB collaborates closely with institutes of the Academy of Science of the Czech Republic.


Matforsk (Now Nofima Food)

Nofima is a business oriented research group working in research and development for the aquaculture, fisheries and food industry in Norway. Nofima was established on 1 January 2008, and has about 470 employees. The group's total turnover in 2008 was about NOK 470 million. The group's main office is located in Tromsø in northern Norway, while the research divisions are located in six places: Aas, Stavanger, Bergen, Sunndalsora, Averoy and Tromso.


Cigene – center for integrative Genomics

The Centre for Integrative Genetics (CIGENE) was formally established in 2003 and is hosted by the Norwegian University of Life Sciences at campus Aas 30 km southeast of Oslo. CIGENE aims to contribute to a deep causal understanding of complex genetic characters in fish, plants and animals for scientific and commercial exploitation based on an integrative genetics approach. As a core facility under the Norwegian Functional Genomics Programme (FUGE), CIGENE is also responsible for providing a national service for detection, typing and interpretation of SNPs (Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms), and for systems-oriented computational biology.
